Master of Psychology Cultivates Kindness on the 62nd Anniversary of UMS

The 62nd Anniversary of UMS, still in a pandemic condition, is now holding a Community Service & Tree Planting agenda in the UMS Edutorium area. This activity was attended by all Faculties / Prodi / Bureau / Institutions / Units in the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta which was carried out in turns starting on October 16-23 2020. Starting with a check health protocol first, all participants then did light and enthusiastic gymnastics to foster the enthusiasm of the participants before doing community service and planting trees.

The Masters in Psychology together with several other study programs and units got a turn for community service & tree planting on Tuesday (20/10) south of the Edutorium by planting the Srikaya Mulwo (Annona reticulata L) plant with a tree height of about 2.3 m. The Head of the UMS Psychology Masters Program, Dr. Eny Purwandari, M.Si with one of the Masters in Psychology, Prof. Dr. Kumaidi, Ph.D planted these plants with love and compassion. The hope is that the plants planted today can become a common good deed, as said by Rasulullah sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam, ‘No Muslim plants a tree, unless something that is eaten from the plant will become almsgiving for him, and what is stolen will become alms. Whatever the wild animal eats from it, that something (which is eaten) will become alms for him. Whatever the birds eat from him, it will become alms for him. No one reduces it, unless it will be a charity for him ” (HR. Muslim).
