All praise belongs only to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, we praise Him, ask for His help, and His forgiveness. Sholawat and salam are always poured out to Rasulullah Muhammad sholallahu ‘alaihi wassalam and his family and companions.
Knowledge is power but values are more, is the motto carried by the Master of Science in Psychology program – Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (MSP-UMS). With this spirit, MSP-UMS has a vision as a center of excellence in developing science and community resources with uniqueness in indigenous people who prioritize Islamic values and Indonesian culture. To achieve this vision, MSP-UMS carries out its mission by producing graduates with a Master’s degree in Psychology. Currently, MSP-UMS has developed a new system called Quality and Control (Q & C). This system aims to improve two areas needed in the academic process, namely the quality of lectures and graduation competencies. What is meant by Quality is improving academic performance that is always updated by considering the needs of stakeholders, and while Control is providing intensive thesis writing guidance so that students can complete their studies in two years.
MPsi-UMS was established in 2006 based on the decree of the Director General of Higher Education No: 4159/D/T/2005. Initially, MSP-UMS was under the Faculty of Psychology UMS, under one roof with the UMS Professional Masters of Psychology. Since 2008, MSP-UMS has been under the management of the UMS Postgraduate Program along with nine other master’s programs. Alhamdulillah, in 2016, MSP-UMS has obtained accreditation status from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) Number: 0103/SK/BAN-PT/akred/M/III/2016 with an Accreditation Grade of B.
